Carlin loves making vibrant acrylic paintings that dance the line between realistic and abstracted. A few years ago, she discovered that painting allows her to delve into her own creative process. Being a terrible photographer, painting allows her to create a piece that captures the feelings and colors of the scenes. She uses the familiar structures of the natural world around her to explore new palettes, resulting in paintings that are vibrant and full of passion. Carlin works in her studio regularly to try to bring out life of scenes in her head.

Carlin uses social media (such as Facebook and Instagram) to show live processes of her art creation. Carlin loves being in nature and gets most of her inspiration from her adventures around the Rocky Mountains. Carlin works as a Registered Nurse and lives in Alberta, Canada with her 2 kids, her husband, and her dog.
